Recently I had a chance to go to Mumbai for project training. For this, I had to stay there for 3 weeks. Of these, for 2 weeks I had to travel more than 3.5 hours to and fro from office.
Add the 9 hour work day and one hour cab timings, the total hours I gave to the job was 9 + 1 + 3.5 = 13.5!
Once I reached home the only thing I was good for was warm plate of food and cool bed.
The (bone tiring) commute and lack lustre life had me thinking and inspired this poem...
crazy commute
daily grind
no time to do
the things you like
we work
like crazies
we wo-o-o-rk
like nothing else is there to life
crazy! crazy! crazy acts
crazy! crazy! crazy acts
crazy roads,
vehicles and companions
no one knows
why they are there
on these streets
we run around
getting nowhere
doing things
for which we don't really care
crazy! crazy! crazy actions
crazy! crazy! crazy actions
crazy people! crazy actions!
crazy commute! crazy commute!
cr-a-a-z-y commute!
